Zhongyin (Ningbo) Battery Co., Ltd. is a joint venture formed by Gold Peak Industries (Holding) Ltd and Ningbo Sonluk Battery Co., Ltd. We are now national high-tech enterprise since 2000. The registered capital of the company is USD 30million, with a total investment of USD 60million and total assets of 150million USD. The company has 21 int''l level computer-controlled automatic assembly lines and 1.7billion production capacity of alkaline batteries. The "PAIRDEER" alkaline battery was rated "China Top Brand" "China Well-known Trade Mark" and "National Inspection-Free Brand".
From 2005, the company has been ranking 1st in China in terms of production capacity of alkaline batteries, sales, export of alkaline batteries, battery qualities and economic performance respectively.
The company involves strong research capabilities in new product-developing and technical innovation. Having a provincial engineering and technology center of chemical sources and a national past-doctoral research working station, we first obtained an ISO9002 certificate in the industry in 1997. In addition to persistent quality improvement, we have always been committed ourselves to environmental protection. In 2002, we successfully passed the audit of ISO9001:2000 quality management system and ISO14001:1996 environment management system conducted by the world-renowned Det Norske Veritas (DNV) and had the certificates issued. In October 1999, we became the leading manufacturer in domestic cell industry of environmental protection for we had fully realized the goal of mercury-free production of alkaline batteries. In 2006, the program the R&D and Industrialization of LR6 Battery and its Assembly line solely done by our company was granted the Second Prize of National Scientific Award. In earlier 2007, we have successfully explored updated products of AA and AAA alkaline batteries, which we call "Ultra Digital Battery", UD battery is specially for high drain appliances like digital camera, shaver, toys and so on. It can take 50% more pictures when used in camera compared with common alkaline battery.
The company has a perfect sales network with over 100 branches and dealers and over 400secondary dealers in China. The company also takes full advantage of advertisement, mass media, promotions to upgrade the popularity of products and company image.
To further expand the scale of the company, we are going to invest 1billion Yuan to build a world-class Sonluk Sci-Tech Park committed to the development and production of alkaline batteries and lithium batteries, thus making Ningbo the biggest base of cell production and laying a solid foundation for the company to become an int''lly recognized Multinational Corporation. We are going to move to Sonluk Sci-Tech Park in 2008, and also there will be several assemble lines added then, and the production capacity is expected to achieve 2 billion pieces anually.
